🐿️ Meet Sophie the Squirrel
Sophie the Squirrel is the backyard’s lively example of **industry** (hard work) and **trust**. She is always busy, hopping from branch to branch, diligently gathering nuts and preparing for the future. Sophie teaches us that hard work is valuable, and that even when we bury our treasures, we must always trust God to help us remember where we put them and to provide for all our needs.
She is a fast and energetic friend, often seen chattering happily with Opal the Owl in the high branches or helping Ralph the Rat locate the perfect storage spot for winter provisions. Sophie's determination and boundless energy inspire everyone in the backyard to be diligent and make the most of their time.
In every story, Sophie reminds us to work with all our heart, knowing that our labor is not in vain when we do it with faith and trust in the Lord.

🐿️ Sophie’s Story Corner
A big pile of freshly fallen acorns had appeared by Whisper the Great Oak, and Sophie was determined to bury every last one before sunset. She worked so quickly that she became frantic, worried she would forget where she put them.
Paxton the Pony noticed her frantic energy. "Sophie, slow down! You'll wear yourself out. Why the hurry?"
Sophie paused, nervously clutching an acorn. "I must bury them all! What if I forget where they are? What if I run out of food this winter?"
Paxton smiled gently. "You are an excellent worker, Sophie. You have done more than enough. Now, take a moment. Put your mind at ease and your worries in God's hands. Do your best, and trust that He will bless your hard work and help you remember."
Sophie took a deep breath, finished her work calmly, and felt peace. When winter came, she found every single nut she needed.
