🦝 Meet Rory the Raccoon
Rory the Raccoon is the backyard’s charming embodiment of **curiosity** and a beautiful example of **forgiveness**. With his masked face, he sometimes gets into a little mischief while exploring, but he always learns from his mistakes and is quick to apologize and make things right. Rory teaches us that it's okay to be curious, and that true friendship means both asking for and granting forgiveness.
He is a night owl (or rather, a night raccoon!), known for his quiet nighttime explorations, often discovering lost treasures or the best spots for delicious berries. Rory is a close friend to Sophie the Squirrel and Milo the Mouse, always ready to share a secret or a laugh, and he never holds a grudge.
In every story, Rory reminds us that God's forgiveness is endless, and we should always offer that same grace to our friends.
📖 Rory’s Favorite Verse
This verse is Rory’s guiding principle, reminding him of the importance of both asking for and extending grace:
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32 (ESV)
Rory knows that just as he has been forgiven, he must show that same kindness and forgiveness to everyone he meets.
🦝 Rory’s Story Corner
One evening, Rory was so curious about the delicious smell coming from the porch that he accidentally knocked over Chloe the Chicken’s carefully stacked basket of knitting yarn, tangling it all up.
In the morning, Chloe was upset to see her work ruined. Rory, seeing the mess he made, hurried over with a drooping tail. "Oh, Chloe, I am so sorry! My curiosity got the best of me," he confessed sincerely.
Chloe looked at the tangle, then at Rory’s honest face. "I was very frustrated, Rory, but thank you for telling the truth," she said. "I forgive you."
Then, Rory spent the whole day carefully working his nimble paws to untangle every last loop of yarn, proving his apology was sincere. By sunset, the yarn was back in the basket, and their friendship was stronger than ever.
