🐴 Meet Paxton the Pony
Paxton the Pony is the backyard's model of **gentle strength** and a willing **burden bearer**. He is kind, sturdy, and always ready to help his friends carry heavy loads—whether it's a bag of nuts or a heavy worry. Paxton teaches that true strength is found in selfless service and compassion.
He spends his days grazing near the fence line and helping creatures like Beatrix the Beaver move supplies for her dam, or giving Max the Labrador a lift when his paws are tired. Paxton moves steadily and carefully, making sure that every burden he carries is handled with gentleness and care.
In every story, Paxton reminds us that we are called to bear one another's burdens, and in doing so, we fulfill the law of Christ.
📖 Paxton’s Favorite Verse
This verse is Paxton’s guiding principle, explaining why he is always ready to carry a load for a friend:
"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." — Galatians 6:2 (ESV)
Paxton knows that when we help lift the weight from our friends, we are living out God's loving purpose for us all.
🐴 Paxton’s Story Corner
Arnie the Ant and his colony had gathered a massive pile of seeds, but the weather was turning cold fast, and they couldn't move the last large sacks before the rain hit. Arnie felt overwhelmed by the size of the task.
Paxton trotted over, looking at the tiny sacks and the worried ants. "That looks like a heavy burden for such small friends," he said softly.
He gently nudged the sacks onto his strong back and walked them carefully back to the ant hill. He moved slowly and made sure the path was clear of any bumps that might send the seeds spilling.
Arnie chirped gratefully, "Paxton, you saved us! We were so worried about that weight."
Paxton nuzzled him gently. "My strength is meant to be shared, Arnie. Never carry a heavy burden alone if you have a friend who is willing to help."
That’s Paxton. Using his quiet strength to lovingly carry the burdens of his friends.
