She lives high in Whisper the Great Oak, where she watches over the community and offers quiet, thoughtful advice to those who seek it, like Charlie the Gray Fox and Toby the Turtle. Opal teaches that wisdom begins with reverence for the Lord and that a quiet mind is best for receiving clear guidance.
In every story, Opal reminds us to ask for wisdom, listen twice as much as we speak, and trust that God generously provides the guidance we need.

🦉 Opal’s Story Corner
Ruby the Rabbit was hopping in circles, unsure which path to take to the sweet clover patch. One path was fast but dangerous; the other was long but safe. Ruby couldn't decide and grew very frustrated.
She looked up at Whisper the Great Oak and saw Opal sitting silently on a branch. "Opal, which way should I go? I don't know the best choice!"
Opal turned her head slowly, looking at both paths. "Dear Ruby," she hooted quietly. "Before you hop, be still. You are looking at two choices, but have you asked the One who knows the *best* choice?"
Ruby stopped hopping and closed her eyes. She whispered a quick prayer, asking God to show her the right way. When she opened her eyes, she looked at the long, safe path and felt a strong, quiet certainty about it. She started hopping quickly down the safe road.
Later, Opal blinked. "You found the answer yourself, Ruby. You just had to ask for the wisdom first."
That’s Opal. A wise, quiet friend who always points us toward the Source of all wisdom.
