🕊️ Meet Ella the Egret
Ella the Egret is the elegant, white sentinel of the marsh. She is a picture of grace, but her most important virtue is **humility**. Though she is tall and beautiful, Ella knows she must rely completely on God’s timing and provision, standing quietly and patiently in the shallows as she waits.
She lives near the marshy edge of the pond, often sharing quiet moments with Daphne the Duck and looking out for Nora the Newt. Ella’s strength lies in her stillness; she teaches that true confidence isn't about how much we can do ourselves, but how much we can humbly trust God to do for us.
In every story, Ella reminds us to be humble in our waiting and completely dependent on our Creator, who always provides for our deepest needs.
📖 Ella’s Favorite Verse
Ella chose this verse because it captures the quiet devotion and trust she practices every day:
"Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him." — Psalm 62:5 (NIV)
Ella knows that her worth and her sustenance come not from her own efforts, but from her complete trust in the Lord.
🕊️ Ella’s Story Corner
One sunny morning, Felix the Frog was bragging about how many bugs he could catch in five minutes. He kept jumping wildly, trying to prove his speed, but his pond-side friends were unimpressed by the commotion.
Ella stood nearby, still as a statue, focused entirely on the water. Suddenly, without a sound, she dipped her beak and came up with a small, silver fish. She took her time, giving a quiet prayer of thanks for the meal.
Felix stopped his jumping. "Ella, how are you so good at that? You barely move!"
"If I rush, Felix, I just scare the fish away," Ella replied gently. "I have to be still, be patient, and trust that God will bring the fish to me. If I get too proud of my own ability, I forget to depend on Him."
Felix realized that the loudest worker isn't always the most successful. True provision comes from humble dependence.
That’s Ella. Elegant, humble, and perfectly still as she waits on the Lord.
